In 1988 a small informal gathering of Asians and Friends from Washington, DC and New York met. The next year, there was a reciprocal visit to New York. In 1990, members decided to invite other chapters to join. This simple gathering of friends has blossomed into an exciting international social and educational gathering. ifCON usually gathers over Labor Day weekend. Each year we post the upcoming event on this page.

Time to think about IFCON 2026 in Taipei
Welcome to ifCON 2026 Taipei
Asian and Friends Taipei will host our 2026 ifCON gathering. The event will be held October 26-30 to coincide with Taipei Pride, which is Saturday, October 31, 2026. Attendees are invited to join the local chapter and march in the pride parade on the 31st. Registration is now open!
